The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup next round happens in Fort William between June the 8th and 9th in the UK. Aonach Mor is one of the biggest mountains in England, and requires focus, physical strength, quick reflexes, full control of the bike and an eye for the right line when descending at high speed a distance of 2.8 km. The challenge is awarded with a great view of the Ben Nevis British mountain, the beauty of the Loch Linnhe and Loch Eli lakes and also the island of the Inner Hebrides.Over the past three years the track has received some radical updates adding new features. The space gained more speed, sea stones, big jumps and technical sections. Increasing the degree of difficulty, and it is considered one of the most challenging tracks on the circuit. All this to motivate the increased level of athletes and get the prestige of spectators coming from different parts of the world. Great view, great circuit and the best athletes in the world!
The professional Luana Oliveira who represented Brazil in the last edition says: “Last year I attended, but I could not compete. After a long week in Italy, where my bike and 15 pilots were stolen, I arrived in Fort William with the problems resolved. Unfortunately I had an accident in training and was hospitalized. But today I’m ready to compete! I’m confident and excited to represent my country in this great event. I feel prepared and I’ve seeing my progress every day through training in California.”
